ShiftPixy Staffing is Hiring a Refrigeration Technician Near Anaheim, CA
We are currently looking for an experienced refrigeration tech to join our team! As a refrigeration technician you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternative cooling units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and complete work orders
Order equipment supplies, repair modules and sundries for the order
Read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
Install climate control systems and refrigeration units
Observe and test newly installed systems
Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment failure
Maintain stock levels
Replace worn seals, outer shells and worn-out motors
Inform upper management of repair costs and alternate cooling options
REQUIRED SKILLS
Advanced Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
Well Organized. Ability to install, repair and maintain refrigeration equipment with the least amount of down- time
Troubleshoot refrigeration systems
Proactive, problem-solving
Excellent attendance history
Knowledge of local building codes
Braising and soldering skills
Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to bend, crawl, reach
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience as a refrigeration technician
HVAC Certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing plant temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures
Conditions in plant setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..
$10 - $12 / Hour
